Jon presented “Paper Chase” on The Park Community Radio Station, every Friday afternoon, rounding up the week’s best stories from the local press.
Lymington born and bred, Jon attended Brockenhurst Grammar School (that shows his age) before embarking on a 35 year career in provincial newspapers.
He edited a number of West Country weeklies – including the top-selling Somerset County Gazette - before returning to Lymington with his wife Lynne in 2009. Jon now divides his time between freelance writing and fundraising/PR for the Lymington Cat & Kitten Rescue; he and Lynne are both feline fanatics, with six moggies of their own (at the last count).
In spare moments you will find Jon gardening (reluctantly), cycling (breathlessly), watching AFC Bournemouth (despairingly) – or indulging a slightly unhealthy passion for 70s prog rock. And, of course, reading the papers.
