A look at Bygone Days with RAF Ibsley
Classic Car Display
Classic cars on display at this year's Bygone Days show
The public were taken on a journey back to 'By-gone Days' this weekend when visiting Brooklands Farm, South Gorley, near Fordingbridge.  The 18th annual event was opened by Mrs Elizabeth Bartlett o Salisbury Alzheimers Society.

In aid of Salisbury Hospicecare Trust, Royal British Legion Women's Section Funds and the Alzheimer Society, the annual show features a wide variety of attractions including vintage vehicles and various stalls selling everything from books to crafts.

Become a coastal critter this summer
The New Forest National Park Authority, Hampshire County Council and Lepe Country Park have joined forces this summer to offer a series of family events along the New Forest coastline.
 
The summer events are sure to have something to suit the whole family, from bird watching to rock pooling, and games.

Urgent warning on lifejacket safety
Hampshire Trading Standards Officers are issuing an urgent warning to leisure users of the county’s coastline, after the discovery of a defective brand of lifejacket.

Any boat owners using the Seago 150 and 175 Newton lifejackets including junior lifejackets should check the product immediately.  The lifejackets have a potential defect, which could result in serious injury, and the manufacturer has issued a recall notice.

The Seago and Newton lifejackets are marked with a manufacture date in Roman numerals, for instance the last quarter of 2005 is shown IV/05.

Christians Against Poverty
CAP Lymington celebrates its first successful year
A specialist debt counselling centre in Lymington today celebrates its one year anniversary with the news of continuing reduction of clients’ debts and the identification of a vulnerable group in the local community.

Christians Against Poverty (CAP), the national debt counselling charity, opened the centre in June 2007, in partnership with Lymington Baptist Church and has since seen members of the local community tackling personal debt using the charity’s award-winning solutions.

Pupils' invitation to sample Eco fayre
A New Forest ‘Eco’ story for Friday 4 JulyYoung eco-warriors are taking over the grounds of Priestlands School, Lymington, on Friday 4 July to celebrate the end of their Eco Week.

Pupils will be showing off all the good eco work they've been doing at an Eco-Fayre and visitors will see their amazing transformation of a derelict walled garden where pigs, chickens and vegetable plots now thrive.

Eco products the youngsters have made will be on sale to the local community, including some of their famous ‘Priestlands Porkers’ sausages and pork packs produced from the pigs they have reared in their garden.

Local photographer Janice Taylor, of Lymington-based studio Essential Images, has recently been awarded the Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society.

Community relationship flowers this week
Partnerships have flourished between the District Council, Arnewood School and residents on a New Milton estate while working together to revitalise a broken and vandalised flower bed.

The planter in Davis Field, now in full bloom, will be unveiled this Friday.
