Drivers with some free time targeted in campaign to help community transport A new campaign aimed at boosting the number of volunteer drivers willing to step in and help their local communities get around, has been launched. A fascinating evening of archival film from the New Forest is promised at Lyndhurst Community Centre later this month. The sun rose (more or less) over Fawcetts Field on August 18th, after almost a week of torrential rain! After a week of preparation, it was at last ‘Showtime’ for what we believe is the biggest artistic event ever staged in New Milton! Community groups wanting to bid to run local services or buy their local shop, library or pub will benefit from more than £30 million of new specialist support, Communities Minister Andrew Stunell has announced. |
